Background:
The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) is one of the key ministries within the Government of Afghanistan and provides services to nearly 80 percent of the population.
Summary: The Helpdesk Support candidate will work within the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) office in Kabul and as well traveling to provinces. S/He will provide 1st tier ICT helpdesk support to ministry employees IT team members. The candidate will have proven helpdesk support experience and excellent problem solving and customer service skills. The Helpdesk Support candidate will report to the Helpdesk Officer.
Main responsibilities:
 1st tier ICT helpdesk support  Windows XP/ Vista / 7 desktop support  Active directory user account management  Assist with management of Microsoft Windows domain client deployment  Local area network troubleshooting  ICT hardware installation  Troubleshooting and installation of client-side applications  Desktop imaging and installation  As other task or responsibility assigned by Helpdesk Officer
Skills Required
 Active Directory user account management  ICT helpdesk support  Microsoft Office/Outlook 2003/2007 expertise  Windows desktop support (XP / Vista / 7)  Ability to troubleshoot a wide array of client-side problems  Virus removal and client security management  Printer, scanner and peripheral hardware maintenance and support  Structured cabling installation and management (voice/data/fiber)  Superior customer service and telephone skills  Ability to communicate effectively in Dari / Pashto / English  Good Interpersonal skills  The ability to multitask effectively as well as to work under pressure
Experience & Qualifications:
At least 2 years work experience in a helpdesk support role, preferably in a large enterprise environment..  IT related Diploma (Computer Science, Information Technology), or a minimum of one industry recognized IT certification (A+, MCP, MCTS, CCNA) with relevant work experience.

    This would surely be a blast for those who are interested to walk through this field! A web-based solution is easy to install and upgrade. In PC and server based applications, the help-desk software has to be installed in every PC. This is a time-consuming job. Whenever there is an upgrade the software and all instances of it in all machines must be updated simultaneously.
