Unit Manager, Community Health and Innovation Unit

The position is part of the global health team and its purpose is:

• To manage the delivery of all global activities in the technical areas covered by the community health and innovation unit (presently consisting of community based health and first aid (CBHFA), maternal and child health, measles and polio vaccination, and voluntary blood donation) and to ensure linkages and integration -where appropriate-in a resilience based approach to public health.
• To facilitate research projects within the RCRC and with academic institutions and other partners.
• To enable, facilitate and support innovative processes across the global health team.
• To ensure sound and consistent coordination between Geneva Secretariat, its zones and country offices, the National Societies membership and the wider international and humanitarian network.
