The Training Coordinator, London Contract Length: 15 months Salary: £30,917 per annum With regular travel – up to 3 months per annum

The Training Coordinator will develop a comprehensive training strategy for HelpAge to support improved humanitarian policy and practice for older people both within and outside the organization. The post holder will develop training materials in line with international and humanitarian standards using a range of learning activities and methodologies to meet the needs of humanitarian partners. In addition they will lead and facilitate a minimum of 4 field based humanitarian training programmes, working with a minimum of 200 trainees as well managing sensitization sessions with up to 80 senior humanitarian staff. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of developing training strategies and materials for humanitarian audiences, including training needs assessment, delivery and evaluation and impact assessments. You will also have experience of delivering successful training programmes as well as experience of working in the humanitarian sector, including time in the field. An understanding of core humanitarian issues such as needs analysis; project cycles; humanitarian principles; coordination systems and the Sphere Project is also essential for this role.
