ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Facilities and Administrative Services Branch, Division for Management Services (FASB/DMS)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Driving and Maintenance of the UNFPA official vehicle • Drives vehicle for the transport of the Executive Director and authorized passengers to official functions and other destinations, as required. • Meet authorized officials at the airport, as required. • Performs security inspection of vehicle and location where the vehicle would be • Ensure UNFPA vehicle is maintained through regular servicing, repairs, tire replacements, cleaning, etc. • Perform minor routine maintenance – change water, keep tire pressure, etc. and arrange other repairs when necessary and that the vehicle is kept clean. • Ensure vehicle safety, at all times from theft, fire, accidents, parking violations, vandalism, etc. • Maintain emergency first-aid equipment within the vehicle.
Administrative Tasks • Addresses requirement of the ED by coordinating his schedule with Executive Associate. • Logs official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc. • Maintains all maintenance documents of the vehicle. • Provide assistance as assigned in the facility services provided by the Branch in respect of headquarters requirements, i.e., office supplies, furniture moves, photocopier maintenance, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Completion of secondary education; • 10 years of driving experience; • Good knowledge of the New York State Driving Manual; • Defensive driving training and defensive driving certificate; • Experience in offensive driving and in security is desirable; • English is required.
