International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs.

Under the supervision of the International Medical Corps Iraq Country Director (CD), the Education Program Manager will implement projects focused on improving the educational environment for Iraqi children by strengthening life skills training, strengthening psychosocial support systems, and strengthening health services in schools. The Education Program Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities:
• Overall strategic planning and design of the program implementation plan based on defined contract deliverables and in accordance with the approved budget; • Periodic review and modification of the plan as needed; • Design and delivery of training programs focused on critical life skills, psychosocial issues, and health; • Develop and implement program strategies that support community involvement and community organization strengthening related to educational issues or identified need; • Provide technical support to other International Medical Corps Iraq programs in the area of education; • Oversee all monitoring and evaluation of the education program; • Manage overall education program implementation and staff; • Prepare required reports and related documents as required by International Medical Corps and the donor; • Perform other duties as may be required to meet program objectives as directed by the Country Director.
REQUIREMENTS • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education, international development, social work, or a related field; • A minimum of 3 years experience in international development or humanitarian assistance; • Demonstrated capacity to manage teams and deliver results in the international development sector. Experience in the Middle East preferred; • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management principles; • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of research methodology and data analysis; • Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, and Excel); • Proven analytical, writing, and communication skills; • Fluency in oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic a plus; • Ability to work well both within a team and independently, in a challenging, fast-paced multicultural environment.
LANGUAGES • Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret, technical and non-technical in the English language. • Ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions from senior managers in the field and HQ, counterparts, senior government and rebel leaders and other related regional players • Ability to speak Arabic language a plus
