Regional Program Directors


REGIONAL PROGRAM DIRECTORS
Relief International, a non-profit international relief and development organization, is seeking three Regional Directors – one each for Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
Regional Directors are senior leaders responsible for the entire portfolio of projects within their respective region. They work out of our DC office, but travel frequently to field locations. They report to the Senior Vice President for Programs and manage a team of desk officers who serve as day-to-day liaisons to our Country Directors.
Specifically, Regional Directors:
  1. lead our regional planning efforts,
  2. work with Country Directors and our Business Development team to develop and win work,
  3. oversee project mobilization, implementation, and close-out, to ensure that project are of the highest quality and performed in accordance with RI and donor requirements,
  4. support Country Directors as they recruit, hire, and supervise project staff, and
  5. play a key role in representing RI with beneficiaries, partners, and funders.
Qualifications: MA in a relevant field; at least 6 years of progressive management experience in the humanitarian relief and/or development field (including personnel, contract, and financial management); and experience managing diverse teams in challenging and fast-paced environments. Experience working with USAID or other similar funders is a plus. All candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents with a work permit.
