Consultant, Sexual and Reproductive Health/TB

PSI seeks candidates for the position of Consultant to support technical services in its Sexual and Reproductive Health and TB Department on the USAID project, Supporting International Family Planning Organizations (SIFPO). Based in Washington, D.C., the Consultant will report to the Technical Advisor in the department and will work with PSI staff in Washington and overseas. The position requires flexibility and willingness to assume varied duties and projects and offers an opportunity to assist PSI staff on a variety of projects in international family planning (FP) and reproductive health (RH). The Consultant should be available to work 30-40 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. A daily rate commensurate with the candidate’s experience will be provided.
Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not be limited to:
  • Coordinating logistics for domestic and international meetings and travel

  • Updating, editing, and improving internal knowledge management resources

  • Conducting literature reviews on various RH/FP topics

  • Responding to internal and external requests for information

  • Compiling indicators for RH/FP proposals, reports and other communication documents

  • Writing, editing, and proofreading RH/FP reports and other project documentation

  • Fulfilling additional programmatic and administrative functions as required

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree a plus; some international work experience preferred

  • Excellent writing, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and cross-cultural skills

  • Background in sexual and reproductive health a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of tasks on short notice within designated deadlines

  • Strong computer skills and willingness to use wiki software required

  • Ability to work in a foreign language; French a plus
