About the Opportunity

Summit Liability Solutions is seeking a assertive and positive leader in the role of Human Resources Manager to work in their Calgary, AB office.

As the Human Resources and Recruitment Manager, you will play an instrumental role in shaping and achieving the companies strategy and objectives through the delivery of strategic human resources services and programs. Working closely with Leaders, you will handle all aspects of a generalist HR role. Providing strategic guidance to Leaders in an evolving and constantly changing business environment will be a key aspect of this role, as will supporting the entire company of currently 71 employees and up to 60 contractor employees.

Specifically, you will:

Partner with and provide input to the Executive on design of a robust suite of HR programs;

Deliver programs including rewards, talent management, workforce planning, talent acquisition and employee relations;

Provide expertise in the areas of organizational design, and serve as an internal consultant and facilitator for the company;

Provide active coaching of the client leadership team on critical employee development matters;

Deliver annual programs (compensation, performance reviews, etc.) and roll out People initiatives to the employees;

In collaboration with the executive, you will coach hiring project managers through the talent acquisition and on-boarding process for new team members;

Serve as an active member of the leadership team as a contributor to strategic business decisions.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced individual who holds a Management or Business degree, along with a minimum of 10 years of HR experience in large, multi-site organizations. An understanding of general HR matters, including total rewards, talent management, workforce planning, talent acquisition and employee relations is essential, as is knowledge of best practices in terms of driving HR initiatives and working with corporate functions in a business partner mindset.

Your strong business acumen is supported by your understanding of key business drivers, business management and strategy to add significant value through HR to the executive. You have experience working with senior management to build leadership skills and teams to support the operations and growth of a young and vibrant organization.

You are comfortable working with key stakeholders to develop value-added, pragmatic people solutions tailored to specific business requirements that align to client groups' mission and strategies.

Above all, you are a highly confident problem solver who is able to drive for continuous improvement and align the organization in a new direction, as well as bring fresh insights to the leadership that play an important role in changing the performance of the business. A high degree of cultural sensitivity is paramount.
