Purpose of the Consultancy:
The IRC is training emergency responders to strengthen their capacity to respond to GBV in crisis-affected settings. Participants in IRC’s GBV in Emergencies regional learning sessions and webinar series will later be part of a closed social network, through which they will be able to access further resources and support, and discuss challenges and exchange lessons learned in the field.
The purpose of this consultancy is to design and develop pages for the GBV in Emergencies online closed social network. This site will include general access pages and a sign-in page, and features including multi-level access levels. All page designs should use technology that allows for ongoing updates and adjustments by the IRC Women’s Protection and Empowerment (WPE) team members.
Scope of Work:
In close collaboration with the IRC’s WPE Technical Unit, the consultant will develop a web site that will serve as a closed social network for GBV emergency responders that have participated in IRC’s GBV in Emergencies regional learning sessions and webinar series, and that ensures linkages with the GBV Area of Responsibility Community of Practice.
The consultant shall:
• Design and develop pages for the GBV in Emergencies online closed social network. This site will include general access pages and a sign-in page, and features including multi-level access levels. All page designs should use technology that allows for ongoing updates and adjustments by the IRC WPE Emergency Response and Preparedness team. • Incorporate feedback from the IRC WPE team and suggest solutions to any issues that arise regarding the web site. • Provide remote training for IRC WPE team members once the web site is created on how to update, adjust and maintain the site.
Deliverables:
Create a web site for a closed social network, to the specifications of IRC
Qualifications Sought:
• Strong web site development experience, required • Minimum of three years professional work experience related to the above
