CJPME is a not for profit organization whose mission is to empower Canadians of all backgrounds to promote justice, development and peace in the Middle East, and here at home in Canada. CJPME is seeking individuals who are passionate about CJPME’s mission and who want to contribute to the growth and the influence of the organization.

The qualified individual will report to CJPME’s President for the management of financial matters, but will work closely day-to-day with CJPME’s fundraising staff.

Job Description:

• Administer donor and member relations • Manage the receipt of all incoming donations and memberships • Perform telephone follow-up with donors and members • Develop communications to thank and update CJPME adherents • Assist CJPME’s fundraising staffperson in other ways as appropriate

• Administer CJPME finances • Input all financials in Simply Accounting • Pay bills and process payments • Perform other standard bookkeeping and treasury tasks • Assist CJPME’s president to provide appropriate financial reports

• Manage organizational logistics • Answer phone for organization; handle administrative inquiries and requests • Receive and process incoming mail • Receive and process incoming email • Update Website content via admin tool • Assist with the updating of CJPME’s other on-line assets (e.g. email service, on-line ticketing, etc.) • Perform administrative tasks required to support the CJPME Board activities

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

• Bi-lingual, English and French, spoken and written • Excellent customer relations skills, in-person and over the phone • Organized with a high degree of attention to details. • Experience in a collegial office environment • Experience and ease with all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Experience with software package Simply Accounting • Ease with new media tools and platforms (e.g. on-line tools, etc.)
