Senior Finance Officer – Grants Management
Salary: £34,342 per annum (more for an exceptional candidate), plus excellent benefits, including Childcare vouchers salary sacrifice scheme, non-contributory pension scheme of 10% of gross annual salary, season ticket loan, subsidised gym membership, 25 working days per year plus English statutory holidays.

Alert has an exciting opportunity for talented, committed and experienced individual to make a significant contribution to a rapidly growing organisation based in London. The post has become available due to relocation of the staff.
As a strategic thinker, with financial expertise, the ability to analyse and resolve complex problems and a desire to develop the role in response to Alert’s evolving needs, you will support the Head of Finance to achieve strong financial management and effective grant management processes throughout our dynamic, expanding international organisation.
Drawing on a solid foundation of relevant knowledge and experience and with fair spoken and written French, you will also act as the focal point within Finance Team for designated Alert programmes, utilising your talent for presenting complex financial information, tools and concepts in an accessible way, your emotional intelligence and determination “to see things through” to work alongside non-finance professionals to engender change which meets future business needs.
Applications for post is welcomed from experienced finance personnel who are part-qualified in CIMA / ACCA and have at least 3 years’ experience in grant account in a similar-sized or larger, international NGO, to include especially: • Preparation of grant financial reports to various donors • Assuring compliance with key donor regulations – e.g. EC, USAID, DfID • Preparation of grant audits • Submitting claims to donors • Budgeting and budget calendaristion
