Job Vacancy Associate PSFR Officer, Thursday 1st, December 2011


The incumbent is responsible for the implementation of the Individual Giving (IG) programme in PSFR Italy and making recommendations for strategy and planning of activities. The incumbent would supervise the PSFR Individual Giving team in Italy, under the direction of the PSFR Officer and with technical support and inputs from the International PSFR team at HQ and in London.
Additionally it should be noted that the incumbent's role is also to provide support and guidance as well as budget advice for small-scale PSFR activities for individual giving in Greece (and possibly in Portugal and other countries of the Rome Region in the near future).
Under the guidance of the supervisor, the Associate PSFR Officer (Individual Giving) will also manage relations with partners, media, contractors and suppliers for PSFR programmes and supervise the Indivdual Giving team in their contact with external partners.

Partnership Manager Consultant Job Vacancy, Friday 18, November 2011


The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill the position of the Partnership Manager Consultant in the Private Partnerships Division. The position will be based in our headquarters in Rome, Italy for a contract period of 6 months to be extended. The Consultant will report directly to the Sr. Partnership Manager and be responsible for the following key duties: • Manage selected private sector partnerships and initiatives including cause-related marketing campaigns and emergency appeals; • Support the team to meet donation targets by identifying new prospective donors and developing long-range plans for their involvement with WFP; • Develop initial and on-going pitches and fact sheets to support fundraising work; • Assist the Senior Partnership Manager in maintaining relationships with private sector donors in a variety of activities such as organizing steering committees and meetings, drafting articles for partners’ annual reports, managing new donors and one-time donations; • Assist WFP business units and field offices with their private sector fundraising activities; • Provide private sector partnership updates for WFP publications and website as needed; • Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications & Experience Required Education: • University degree in Fundraising, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or other related fields. Advanced university degree is desirable. Experience: • At least five years of postgraduate progressively responsible professional experience in fundraising corporate social responsibility/sustainability in the private sector, or in managing large private foundations and associated philanthropic events; • Experience in private sector fundraising, developing public-private partnerships, negotiations with private partners and public relations/advocacy; • Managerial experience. Technical Skills & Knowledge: • Excellent sales, marketing and communications skills such as to approach partnerships and fundraising in a creative and entrepreneurial manner. International Development Law Organization


IDLO seeks a Program Officer for a consultancy based at its Headquarters in Rome, Italy. The Consultant will be the focal point of contact between the IDLO headquarters and the Southern Sudan field office and be responsible for HQ backstopping and management oversight of the project “Supporting Justice Institutions in Sothern Sudan”.
This consultancy assignment is expected to last for a period of eighteen (18) months. The Program Officer will be working under the direct supervision of the Manager, Field Operations Unit in Rome and in close collaboration with the Field Program Manager in Sudan. The principle tasks will include:
Manage each of IDLO’s programs in Southern Sudan including providing input into design and management of the complete work-plan; design and management of the monitoring and evaluation plan, as well as with internal and external reporting;
Support the field office team in daily implementation issues, including revisions of program design, recruitment of experts, revision of work-plans and financial reports;
Identify new program opportunities and in cooperation with the Field Program Manager and Manager, Field Operations Unit develop project proposals for funding;
Be available for periodic visits to the field to represent IDLO in program events, meetings with donors, meetings with beneficiaries and assist the Field Office team in program activities within the Field Program Manager’s field of competence;
Assist the Field Office team with technical outputs, including providing input into training materials, reports, concept notes and other project activities;
Monitor the program implementation environment; including security, political, development and personnel issues, which may affect implementation of IDLO programs;
Act as a focal point for information flow between the field office and the Headquarters, and facilitating the provisions of Human Resources, Finance, ICT, Communications and Legal Services to the field office; Review financial reports produced by the Project Finance Team, and identify in advance areas of under or over spending; and
Provide feedback into program design, including comments on program proposal (indicators, monitoring and evaluation frameworks and budgets).
IDLO seeks a Program Officer with a true interest and passion for the Organization’s mission. The candidate will need experience of minimum 4 years in project management, preferably in rule of law programs at a mid-level position with progressively increased responsibilities.
He/She will have a Law degree, preferably from common law jurisdiction. Knowledge of institutional capacity building activities will be an advantage. The ideal candidate will also have experience and proven knowledge of the Southern Sudan’s legal and political system, and the relevant institutions. The successful candidate will possess experience in using the monitoring and evaluation tools, and writing reports.
He/She will have the knowledge and interpersonal skills to motivate and encourage relationships based on mutual respect and trust in multi-cultured teams.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of a local language is advantageous. Experience working in East Africa, and especially in Southern Sudan, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be required to commence in July/August 2011. First review of applicants will start as of June 24th 2011.

We are currently seeking to fill the position of Global Deputy Coordinator at D1 level for the REACH Inter-agency Initiative. The position will become available in our headquarters in Rome, Italy. The Global Deputy Coordinator will define the strategic planning and provide policy guidance to the country programmes that are necessary for the effective discharge of missions.
The objective of the REACH Inter-agency Initiative (FAO, WHO, UNICEF and WFP) is to combat child hunger through effective action at the country level and globally. It is supported by international cooperation and partnership arrangements in the framework of an integrated approach, which is consistent with Millennium Development Goal 1 to reduce extreme poverty and hunger.
